Windscreen Repair- Some advice

At some point in your driving career you will suffer a stone chip to your windscreen. Given the state of our roads it is unavoidable.

Generally excessive cracks are not repairable but a stone chip such as a bulls eye or star break as seen on this web site are, subject to size and location on screen.

There are rules regarding repair so please have the following information ready when making an enquiry.

  1. How recently did the damage occur? Recent damage is easier to repair.
  2. Whereabouts on the screen is the chip located?
  3. What size is the chip?

We will ask for a close up photo taken from outside with a coin placed next to it for scale. Only then can a qualified repairer be able to give reasonable advice as to whether to repair and its likely outcome.
