Can my windscreen be repaired?

What information do I need when I contact you?

Please have the following information ready when making an enquiry.

  • How recently did the damage occur? Recent damage is easier to repair.
  • Whereabouts on the screen is the chip located?
  • What size is the chip?

Please take a close up photo taken from outside with a coin placed next to it for scale. 

Do you replace windscreens that cannot be repaired?
No sorry, I do no replace glass of any kind.
Is this a mobile service?
Yes it is – I will repair your screen at your home or workplace.
Will my car pass it's MOT after the repair to my windscreen?
Yes – I only repair windscreens that will pass an MOT once the repair is completed.
Do I need to use my insurance for the windscreen repair?
No – you only need to use your insurance policy if you replace the windscreen.

How long will it take to repair my windscreen?

The average repair time for a car windscreen repair is 30 minutes.

Can I drive my car immediately after the repair has been completed?
Yes you can drive your car with your repaired windscreen straight away.
Will I still be able to see the chip after a car windscreen chip repair?
Our professional car windscreen chip repair service will significantly improve the look of the damage, but you may still notice a faint mark where the chip was. The main purpose of the repair is to restore the strength of your windscreen and stop the chip from spreading further, while also improving visibility.
When can you come to do the car windscreen chip repair?

Should I have the chip repaired soon after it happens?
Yes. The sooner you arrange a car windscreen chip repair, the better the results. Early repair not only gives the best optical outcome but also prevents the chip from spreading and turning into a costly crack where you will need a full windscreen replacement.
What should I do while waiting for my car windscreen chip repair?
